The location was superb and although it was a relatively simple hotel, I wasn't expecting anything else after reading the description and with regards to what it cost. It was very good to have a breakfast included in the price which was simple but effective.

The Pension was better than illustrated-there is obviously history in the building and its neighbourhood. The location better than expected- full of atmosphere, especially in the warm evenings. The standard of the cleanliness, the linen, particularly the bathroom with its super fittings and the breakfast supplied is outstanding. All the staff smiled the whole time and gave advice if needed. Thank you for all of it and I hope I//we will visit again, maybe in 2 years time.

I have to say that there is a nice restaurant near by. It is called a TPP on Pariserstrat 23-24, and if you like sushi for a good price it is definitely a goog place to go. Not to mention that they are having a 50% discount on many items so you ended up with good fresh tasty sushi for very reasonable price.
Guys, it is all faked. The score, the reviews, the description. It is a biggest whole and the worse vacation place ever. Imagine that you enter a 200 years old house that has not be cleaned for the last 100 years. It smalls bad, and our daughter started caughing even before we got to the room. The room was very strange and looked like as a corner of a bigger apartment where they forgot to place a toilet. When we said that there is no chance we will stay here it turns out that they are charging 80% of all nights for cancellation. So we stayed for two nights (Thanks God not more) and we cursed every moment. We ended up just going on the streets refusing to get back to the room. The breakfast was very basic, and not even remining a famous German quality. The stuff was very uncompetent. Be aware that when they tell you to park on the streets and give you an hotel sticker to place on the window, you still can get a parking ticket. When they recomend you a city tour, it is the most expensive and less interesting one. In one word - avoid staying there.

Price vs Comfort. I had no need of a personal toilet or shower.
- No elevator - weird front door (have no idea, why they still use such a lock) - breakfast is really simple, but there are only few hotels that offer a better breakfast for a similar price on kudamm.

The hotel has a very good location - right on the main street of West Berlin. Very convenient access to Berlin-Tegel airport (30 min by bus). Close to Metro station and other public transport. The hotel is located on the second floor of an old building with high ceilings. Very clean. Actually, the hotel does not look like a high-class apartment, but if you do not care about it - that is a good place to stay.
The breakfast could be better. No lift.

Liked Everything- spotlessly clean, friendly staff and plentiful breakfast. Great Value for money, simple hotel with historical charm, just off one of the main shopping streets in Berlin. Also 2 mins walk from Underground, Cafes, Bars, Restaurants & across from beautiful Literaturehaus.

Location was excellent, just of the main shopping street. And the staff were gentle, polite etc. Breakfast was decent. And the room and bathroom were excellent.
The only mini-gripe we had was that although we booked a double, we got two single mattresses on a single continuous wooden base (so it wasn't really 2 single beds pushed together). And it came with 2 single duvets. Although this was ok, it wasn't ideal for a couple on a special weekend away. We would have much preferred an ordinary double bed with a double/king size duvet.

location and price
shared bathroom , but I knew that when booking modest breakfast, with no warm things apart from tea or coffee high security, you had to ring bell at two separate doors to get access

Labai gera vieta, arti metro, autobusų sustojimų, rami ir saugi, graži gatvė, įspūdingas pastatas ir, žinoma, laiptinė. Jauki, labai švari ir draugiška aplinka. Malonus aptarnavimas. Nors kambarys buvo su bendra vonia / tualetu, nepajutome jokio nepatogumo. Mielai rekomenduočiau viešbutį savo draugams ir sekantį kartą būdama Berlyne jį pasirinkčiau.

Excellent location: 2 minutes walk to the nearest U-bahn station, 5-minutes walk to lively Hard Rock Cafe and traditional German bier salon, surrounded by numerous stores: clothes, shoes, food, etc. Very clean and comfortable rooms, everything works fine (TV, heating). Shared shower is also very clean and brings no problems to use it (very few people to use it). Free bottled water every day. Nice canteen with nice view at the surrounding area. Very cooperative and helpful personnel ( we asked to move us to another room with Double bed, they were very willing to help and finally moved us to this room (even though did not remind) as soon as it got vacant. I positivley recommend this hostel to stay in for a period of your trip!

The hotel was in a great upscale shopping district and yet the price was very reasonable. The rooms were clean and beautiful as was the building itself. It is located close to the Berlin zoo which is very much worth a visit if you have the time and also close to the metro station which makes it a quick trip to any part of town. Only a few stops from Alexanderplatz. The included breakfast was fantastic and the staff was very friendly.

It was affordable, as we were two students traveling on a tight budget. For a hotel in the middle of the shopping district and right near Zoolischer Garten, it was a good price. The breakfast was typical for European countries (breads, meats, cheeses, yogurt, boiled eggs, cereal, granola) and very plentiful. We were full every morning and even managed to take away enough rolls and fruit for lunch so we never had to buy any. Also, on the first day at breakfast, one of the staff handed us two metro tickets, saying a couple checked out and didn't need them anymore. Major score! We rode the metro for free and got a discount at several museums. It was nice of him to do that for us.
The square footage of the actual room was pretty cramped. It had a very high ceiling, which made it seem bigger, but we usually do an at-home workout together and we didn't get to do it while staying at this hotel because there was not enough room in our quarters (and no gym equipment on the premises). Not the biggest criticism, because the room was extremely clean, but a minor drawback.

It was very clean and comfortable within easy access to the underground and to the bus stop. Location was the key to the hotel. The staff was friendly helpful and very polite. I would definitely reccomend this hotel and certainly return there again.

I arrived quite late and the man on staff was incredibly gracious, and even went as far as to wake himself up at 4:30am to give me a ring as a substitute for an alarm clock.
